Profile overview

I have grouped the profiles on previous pages into 3, so each is about 30 to 35 miles and so all together cover whole of SDW.

Please Note: ignore 'duration' times on elevations ! 

Winchester to Cocking approx. 33 miles 53 km, my sections 1,2 3, &4.

 

Cocking to Devils Dyke approx 29 miles / 46 km, sections 5, 6, 7 &8.

 

Devils Dyke to Eastbourne approx 33 miles /52 km.

It is interesting to note that climbing for 1234 is similar to DDtoEbrne. Latter is 3 big climbs & 2 smaller, as 1234 Winchester to Cocking is lots of smaller ones.

Above only seem to add to 95 miles ? thought should be 100? my start is a mile out of Winchester. Also Winchester to DD adds to 62 miles, should be 65 miles. I seem to have lost a couple of miles somewhere ! Note Nov. 2007: just read that SDW via Seven Sisters is 100, but inland SDW route for bikes is 97 !
